Zelda: UO Epis:7

"Impressive"

submission: Zelda: UO Epis:7
date: February 20, 2009

Even though I don't recall ever seeing the previous entries in the series (yet), I found this Flash very compelling. The animation was fluid, and the story and voice acting were not cheesy or unfitting at all. The entire presentation was fantastic, and you even included bloopers for good measure! The only issue I have is some grammatical errors in the subtitles, but I'm not going to subtract points for that since you had such a long animation to put in subtitles for. I'll be watching your previous entries soon! Great job!

It was like a variety show with amazing animation, great voice work and a hilarious and well put together script. This is the best Flash I've seen in a long, long while. Everything was just...perfect. Great work, guys and gals!

Brain Follow

"Great concept!"

submission: Brain Follow
date: January 1, 2009

The concept was very unique and refreshing! However, the controls could be improved upon a little (if you hold down the arrows then sometimes the character will take an extra step or two). There was also some slowdown (though I guess you can't always fix that). Furthermore, I noticed that for the earlier levels, there were a lot of extra tile spaces not being used. I know that would be useful to trick the player's memory, but for the earlier levels it should just take it slow so the player can get used to the style of the game.

But on the upside, like I said, the concept was original, and the art and animation was also impressive. The music was enjoyable, but it seemed to just loop. Perhaps you could collaborate and hire some other people to make some more songs. Overall, I'd say...great work! ;)

Legend of Miyamoto

"This warped its way into my heart..."

submission: Legend of Miyamoto
date: October 17, 2008

Wow. Just...wow. Let me start out by saying that the animation was one of the most impressive Newgrounds flashes I have ever laid eyes on. It was fluid, stylish and had its own sense of originality. The music matched the visuals, too. It was kind of "trippy" and upbeat so that you were sort of bobbing your head along to it while watching Miyamoto strut his stuff through the worlds he stumbled upon. Everything just meshed together so well, and despite the silence of the characters (a tradition Nintendo tends to hold for its protagonists as well), it held a sort of mute charm that allowed the music to gracefully take its place.

You should be proud of this. It did not seem "rushed" at all to me. It was entertaining and pleasurable. Cheers to you! :)

TakeTwo - Coleco

"Informative!"

submission: TakeTwo - Coleco

I've always hated history...except for video game-related history. This is a well-put together Flash about Coleco. A must-watch for any serious gamer, methinks! ;p

Shinukoto!

"Bittersweet"

submission: Shinukoto!
date: October 3, 2008

I loved the animation, and not just because it's "anime," but also because it was fluid and stylish. The music was fitting as well. In fact, the overall presentation was above par for a Flash. The only thing that has me scratching my head is the ambiguous ending. I can't tell if she was just sent to the hospital to heal and she fell asleep, if she was sent to a mental institution for trying to kill herself, or something entirely different. It was a powerful and relevant ending regardless, though. All in all, very enjoyable. Good job!
